Dear Editor,
We read the editorial published in Acta Med Int 2017;4:0[1] with a great interest. Editors (Jain S and Sharma) discussed on plagiarism problem and noted that “Planning your paper well is the first and most important step you can take toward preventing plagiarism. As we begin to dispel these views, the realities of plagiarism in academic writing more deeply, we can begin to devise strategies to not just catch plagiarists, but also prevent plagiarism from happening in the first place.[1]” Indeed, the misconduct in publication is not uncommon. Scientific publication is similar to artwork creation, the creative idea is needed, and the common idea is one should not copy the others and should produce only one piece of work without repeated production.[2] The good start is usually important and this can lead to the plagiarism-free society. Promoting of clean, scientific and artistic publication seems to be a very interesting challenge. In fact, several attempts from several practitioners are launched and many ideas are purposed for anti-misconduct. Nevertheless, the problem still exists. We should note that while we are attempting for counteract the problem, someone might simultaneously support the problem. As observed in the recent publication,[3] the neglected identified misconduct is not common in developing country and it can become the bad role model to stimulate the younger practitioner to dare performed unwanted misconduct.
